Play with 3D max this week we where asked to make a leaf using the mapping techniques. I first started by geting a leaf and playing around with it on Adobe Photoshop using overlaps and stroke techniques.
I open up the leaf in 3D max where I created a plane that was going to help me later by being the model. I then had to use the leaf image that I play around on Photoshop and started to use techniques like opacity and bump to get the leafs texture much more realistic.

I then applyed the leaf material to the plane simply I made earlier. I started to edit the poly of the leaf so that I can shape the leaf to make it more realistic because leaf are not perfectly flat.

Week 2 Tutorial

This is the chess piece I did in week 2 tutorial I pick up some new skills in this tutorial on how to using Adobe Illustrator to draw half a chess piece and then import it into 3D Studio Max. Using the lathe modifier tool I then made the half chess piece in to a 3D piece.

This is the 3D work i have done in week 2 using Auto desk 3ds Max. We had to make some fruit and then do a banana. then i did a group of them and this is how they come out.

Here are my two mood boards. I did two mood boards because I want to have more images on there but I didn't want the images to be too small because then you can't see the detail on the images that well.
